 "Branch 22 - Chartered July 7, 1932"

"There is not a man or woman, on active duty, in the reserves, in the national guard or retired from the Armed Forces of the United States, who at this very moment is not deriving some benefit through the efforts of the Fleet Reserve Association!"

"Attention Active Duty Personnel"

"The Fleet Reserve Association" Is Not The Fleet Reserve You Transfer To After 20 Years Of Active Service. We Are Your Voice On Capitol Hill And Have Been Here Since 1924. In Today's Economic World And Environment We Hear The Term "GREEN" Daily, Green In The FRA Means Protecting Your Pay And Your Benefits.

Yes, Money Is The Green That We All Need To Live In Today's Economy And The FRA Is Here To Work For Us Through Legislative Advocacy. The FRA Works To Protect And Improve Our Benefits Utilizing A Strong Unified Voice By Ensuring That Enlisted Issues Are Heard By Congress And Urges Support For Legislation To Increase Pay And Benefits.

WHO IS THE FLEET RESERVE ASSOCIATION?

The FRA is comprised of sea service enlisted personnel who have served or now serving in the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard (active duty, reserve, retired) and commissioned officers with at least one day of enlisted sea service. The Fleet Reserve Association was  Federally Chartered in 1924 as a professional non-profit organization that is devoted to the interests of Enlisted and retired members of the United States Sea Services.

PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE FLEET RESERVE ASSOCIATION

With reverence for God and Country and being ever mindful of the glorious traditions of the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard our duty to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, our responsibility to aid in maintaining adequate defense for our beloved country; our desire to assist those who have served and are now serving; our devotion to our shipmates , in good fortune or distress; our reverence for the memory of our departed Shipmates; we associate ourselves together and declare this to be the Preamble to the Constitution of the Fleet Reserve Association

MISSION OF THE FLEET RESERVE ASSOCIATION

S/M George Carlin, then a Chief Yeoman, Founded the Fleet Reserve Association in 1924. He conceived the concept of Enlisted personnel banding together for mutual Loyalty, Protection, and Service. He rightfully is the Founding Father of the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA).

S/M Carlin's concept became the FRA's primary mission to protect the pay, benefits, and compensation of Sea Service enlisted personnel (active duty, reserve, and retired) and their families through direct representation  in the U.S. Congress.  The FRA also assists with individual career problems by maintaining a close liaison with Department of Defense and Veteran's Affairs and other government agencies. We support  military policy that provides for an adequate national defense, guarantees the realness of our forces, and safeguards the personnel interests of the sea service community.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE FRA?

Membership in the FRA is open to all enlisted personnel (active duty, reserve, and retired) of the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Commissioned Officers of the Sea Services , who have at least one day of prior enlisted service are eligible. Personnel of other branches of the United States Armed Forces who have prior honorable enlisted service in one of the Sea Services are also eligible for membership. Dues for 1 year are $30.00, 2 years $57.00, 3 years $85.00. and 5 years $135.00. Members may join one of the FRA's 300 plus Branches worldwide or elect Membership-at-Large status. To join you must certify that you meet the eligibility requirements of being a current or former enlisted member of the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, and that you can produce a copy of your military identification or DD214 upon request.
